El Convento Rico Nightclub has a near legendary status in Toronto as a place that is always fun. It's a unique environment that has continuously evolved over the years. The club has it's origins in being a safe haven for gay, lesbian and transgendered Latinos who did not have the freedom to express themselves in their homelands. Fortunately, acceptance of sexual diversity has improved in recent years so much that El Convento Rico is now a perfect example of a place where everyone can feel safe - bring your mom, your co-workers, your cross-dressers club, or come alone, you'll never know who you'll meet! We are proud to be Toronto's most mixed bar, and will always welcome people of all walks of life.
